The old wound

Ah, man, I completely forgot how hard it is to keep a blog working as it should! Sorry if you suddenly got loads of updates in your reading list. Had to change some setting because the posts didn't show up in the reading list. Sorry! Just 'updating' the blog with some photos I didn't post before.

The Old Wound...

I chose the title of this blog, 'the old wound', because the taboo of showing a vagina is still so topical. Why is it that we still have to feel shame about this body part? And this in an age where they almost bombard you to death with commercial sex. And I know many woman are ashamed. Because they think their vagina's are 'different', not 'normal', ugly... or just sinful. ...!
And why is it that, if you can see a vagina, it must be porn, not art? And why is it that we, especially women (!), still have to feel shame about our sexuality? And why is it that images of sexy acts, can't be beautiful, or 'art'? Not that I say I make Art. I just want to make nice images of sexy things.
Or just photos of women who dare to show themselves without too much self- censoring.
But, as a friend of mine said:
"It's all art, isn't it?"
And I want to 'explore' all these things in my photography.
And I hope to find, women who want to explore this, too. Together with me.
Just hoping, so far... Wish me luck! :-))
